Making baby cloth nappies at home (Indian way)

For simple langotes you can cut squares out of your old cotton sarees and fold them diagonally to form a triangle.
After you cut the squares, stitch all the ends of the square in a hem stitch, otherwise the loose threads will keep coming out and it might harm the baby.
See to it that the squares are big enough-that is atleast 75 cm to 1 m diagonal length.

For tying, you can either stitch cord to two ends and a loop on the third so that the cords can be put through the loop and tied or you can even put velcro, or you can use the ends of the diagonal and the third end itself to tie a knot.

Home made soft nappies will prevent the baby from getting rashes if with each wash you add something like dettol to the water.
